What is Your Design Style?

What is your design style?  I was recently browsing the Better Homes and Gardens web site for closet organizing ideas and came across a quiz that asked this very question.  I always though my style was a cross between traditional and eclectic.  I decided to take the quiz to see if I was right.

Guess what my design style came out as?  Cottage Style.  I was a little surprised at first but then I got to thinking.  If I could have any house I wanted, it would be a house on the beach.  It wouldn't be too big either (I hate cleaning! lol).  So I guess the style quiz was right.

Here is the description they gave with the answer to the quiz:

"Laid-back" best describes your way of life, which means Cottage style is right up your alley. You love rooms that feel casual, breezy, and informal. Consider slipcovered furniture and painted wood pieces to achieve a put-your-feet-up vibe. Yep.  If I could I would move to the beach and never look back.  Of course my family would have to come too!  And the two dogs and the two cats.  And the fish.  And the FFA rabbits.  (Have I mentioned how adorable they are now? Ughhhh ....cuteness overload.)  I would have a casual, breezy and informal house.  One that didn't matter if the kids tracked sand in or if the dogs dropped their daily litter of dust bunnies all over the house.  It would be uncluttered and super easy to clean.  I would have candles in every room.  I just love the soft glow of candles, the smell of the ocean and the sound of the waves crashing on the beach at night. I would of course have my signs too!  I can come up with tons of sayings for the beach.  I would still stick with my color pallet that I have now (I think) it would be oranges, rusts, brown, tan, white with an accent of turquoise blue.  I would have lots of comfy pillows and lots of comfy throws to snuggle up with on the couch and enjoy a good movie with. 

Don' forget the luxurious linens for the beds.  Enough about me though because I could go on and on forever.
